The GOYA ministry integrates four elements: Worship, Fellowship, Service, and Witness.
Christ came to serve, not to be served. Young people are urged to do the same. Therefore we glorify God by loving and serving humanity in His name. Young people should use there God-given charismata (gifts) to serve.
Fellowship is the way orthodox Christians integrate their faith with daily life. A sacred when we gather together in our Lord's name. The relationship of the Holy Trinity is the perfect model of Fellowship. By gathering together in fellowship, and by experiencing this love we emulate the relationship of the Trinity and develop of our life in Christ.
Numerous Activities are scheduled to teach and bring the youth closer to our Faith. Youth Sunday, Bible Study. Kolyva and Prosfora classes, Holy Friday Retreats, Trisagion Services at the Gravesites of our Parish members are examples of just a few of the ways we encourage our Youth to really understand and participate within our Faith.
The GOYA Basketball program is to provide and promote recreational activity that will lead toward the development of christian ideals in the youth served. GOYA basketball not only promotes good manners and sportsmanship but also reaches for spiritual ideas.
By modeling christian conduct we can assist our youth to reflect on the action of GOD in the events or our lives. We humbly accept defeat and then strive for victory in His name. We honor him by raising the trophy in His name.
